suggestions for a beginner learning the piano?

Posted by admin

I have an electric piano. I am wanting to learn how to play the piano. What would you suggest for a beginner? I tried youtube videos, but I can't find any good tutorial. What is a good piano tutorial book?

Try playing simple music. Know your ABCDEFG keys and then the b flats and # sharps. I don't know how to read piano but I am a very good improviser (ear listener) and could play anything at will.

It's all about practice dude.. practice religiously.. starting with learning what key=which note, followed by learning your scales, then intervals, then chords, etc.. just keep in mind that practice makes perfect.. the greatest piano players didn't become good overnight, rather over the course of many years.. check out your local music store for some good beginner books and lessons.. you might find it easier to take lessons from an instructor, so you can actually see the things that are being played if you are a visual learner like myself
